Dr. Stephen Goldberger (retired)
An Open Letter from Stephen Goldberger, M.D.
I feel I have been very fortunate in my life. This I attribute to two of the early decisions I made while attending college. The first was to become a physician and ultimately a nephrologist and the latter, was choosing my lifelong partner, my wife. Both have provided me the satisfaction and contentment that I had wished for when those decisions were first made.
On July 31, 2011 I will be leaving Metropolitan Nephrology Associates after 37 years, having started the practice in July 1974. The goals and aspirations contemplated in those early days have been in part realized with the staff and partners chosen to join me and I leave with certainty that they will be able to continue in my absence.
To all those patients I have had the opportunity to meet thru the years I thank you for the confidence entrusted in me. The rewards I have experienced from these interactions are immeasurable.
To all my colleagues, the technicians, secretaries, dietitians, social workers, nurses, physician extenders and doctors, I thank you and hope your future in medicine provides you with the same enrichment that has been mine.
Sincerely,
Stephen Goldberger
